OPTION 1)
  •  If you did the homework on Monday before Jim and Kylie came, how and in what ways did preparing help make the talks more interesting?  Did it help?
    • When I completed the homework, it helped me prepare for what the speakers would say. It also helped me listen along in order to answer my questions. Overall, it was more helpful for Kylie than Jim, but helpful nonetheless.
  • What meaning did the speakers have for you personally and your sense of place and beginning college?  What made the speakers effective?  What could have been better?
    • With Jim, he helped me look forward to the future and all the friends all I will (eventually) make. With Kylie, the meaning was more not to be afraid of changing your major, because you can still do things you love. The thing that made both speakers effective was that they were both passionate about what they were talking about. It might have been better if they followed a more specific plan when they were talking, but I still enjoyed it.
  • Last, how did it impact your engagement?  Also, what did you rate yourself as far as engaging with our resource experiences?  1-5 1 being totally engaged and 5 not, and explain your rating.
    • It didn't really impact my engagement much, since I didn't really have many questions for them. I would rate myself at probably a 2 or a 3 for both. This is simply because neither of them had stories that impacted me on a personal level, but were still interesting to listen to.
